The MathematicaHandbook is a download which inserts itself into the Help browser of your copy of Mathematica®. It provides lessons, examples and templates at your fingertips for a wide variety of problems in physics, chemistry, and engineering. It can be used as a supplementary text in any undergraduate or graduate level mathematical methods course which includes an introduction to modern mathematical software. MathematicaHandbook comes in two versions:
The Standard Version of the MathematicaHandbook includes: 1) a Mathematica tutorial which provides a fast-paced but thorough introduction suitable for beginners, 2) a comprehensive presentation of topics and problems encountered in a traditional mathematical methods course (linear algebra, vector analysis, ordinary and partial differential equations, boundary value problems, etc.), and 3) Case studies and Applications which explores applications of Mathematica to fluid mechanics, quantum mechanics, electricity & magnetism, etc. ($30).
The Professional Version of the MathematicaHandbook contains the entire Standard version, and a collection of over 100 problems with detailed solutions. The Professional version is intended primarily for instructors. ($85).
The MathematicaHandbook is compatible with versions of Mathematica 6.0 and higher ( including version 7.0 ) running on Windows 98 and higher ( including Vista ), Macintosh OS X , and Linux. Each purchase allows for two installations on your different computers.
